Palmetto Boys State

Through the generosity of our 2015 sponsors, we once again sent ten (10) young men to boys state this past year.

We are now getting ready for our 2016 Boys State program. We have already received several donations and are hoping that more of the community will come on board to support this vital Youth Program. See our growing list of 2016 sponsors here.

Our slate of Boys State attendees for last year are listed below:

2015 Boys State Attendees
School Student
Conway High School Nick Harrington
Conway High School Lance Schofield
Conway High School Brady Fulmer
Conway High School West Courtney
Conway High School Spencer Harrelson
Conway High School Mills Eddy
Carolina Forest High School Liam Zevgolis
Carolina Forest High School Dylan Roberts
Carolina Forest High School Jonathan Howle (AAST)
Conway Christian School Brett Hucks

It costs $300.00 to send a single boy to Boys State which means we needed $3000.00 in order to fully support our commitment. This is a vital program to teach our young men about our government and how it works.

We received $1,750.00 in donations this year for this valuable program. We thank all those businesses who helped us reach our goal. Your support is greatly appreciated.

We asked you, members of the Conway community, to partnership with us to help sponsor a young man to Boys State. The total amount of community donations received last year is shown in the box to the left. Thank you, friends of the American Legion, and of our youth, for your generosity and continued support.

See our Boys State Information page for additional information pertinent to the Boys State and Boys Nation program.
