2017 Palmetto Boys State

Through the generosity of our 2017 sponsors, we are able to send seven (7) young men to boys state this year.

Our slate of Boys State attendees for this year has not yet been determined. (Their names and schools they are attending will be published as soon as final selections have been made):

2017 Boys State Attendees
School Student
Conway High Shawn Brown
Conway High Markus McCullough
CHS/Scholars * Dylan Rush
CFHS * Bowman Davis
CFHS * Ramy Alawar
CFHS/AAST * Patrick Daly
CCS * Brock Josephs

CHS = Conway High School
CFHS = Carolina Forest High School
AAST = Academy for Art, Science & Technology
CCS = Conway Christian School

It costs $300.00 to send a single boy to Boys State which meant we needed $2,100.00 in order to fully support our commitment. This is a vital program to teach our young men about our government and how it works.

We asked you, members of the Conway community, to partnership with us to help sponsor a young man to Boys State. You responded and the "Proof is in the Pudding". Thank you, friends of the American Legion, and of our youth, for your generosity and continued support.

See our Boys State Information page for additional information pertinent to the Boys State and Boys Nation program.
